PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle motor which decreases the number of parts that are used only for sealing an O-ring, etc., and also can reduce the noises. SOLUTION: This spindle motor consists of a stator which is fixed to a drive chassis around a shaft via a stator support member and a rotor which is placed opposite to the stator with a prescribed distance set between them and rotates by energizing the stator. The stator support member is made of an elastic body.
