PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a heating capability particularly when an atmospheric temperature is low and to improve an operating efficiency in a heating operation of a heat pump cycle for conducting a gas injection. SOLUTION: In a gas injection cycle, when openings of two expansion valves 7, 11 are changed to raise an injection pressure in a gas-liquid separator 9, a liquid refrigerant is mixed within an injection gas refrigerant. When this phenomenon is utilized, the compressor can be cooled without using a new unit for cooling the compressor 1, a heating capability can be increased and the operating efficiency can be improved.
