摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device easily, rapidly and accurately estimating a spectroscopic characteristic of a light source at a low cost by use of an image pickup system without requiring a dedicated apparatus for measuring the spectroscopic characteristic to calculate a colorimetric conversion coefficient for converting picked-up image data into colorimetric image data and get the colorimetric image data by use of the conversion coefficient, and provide an information recording medium recorded with a program for colorimetric conversion. SOLUTION: In this colorimetric image pickup method, a spectroscopic characteristic of illumination light is estimated from image data of a reference plate picked up under the illumination light by an optimization method. When converting image data of a space picked up by an image pickup system into colorimetric image data, a second optimum solution expressing an image pickup response value as a colorimetric value is gotten from the spectroscopic characteristic of the illumination light, a spectroscopic characteristic of the image pickup system, and the human visual sensitivity characteristic.
