PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle hydrogen utilizing system, the safety of which can be improved further by suppressing hydrogen reaction in case an accident. SOLUTION: An on-vehicle hydrogen utilizing system is constituted of a methanol tank 1 which stores methanol as the source fuel of the hydrogen that is used in the system as fuel, a water tank 2 which stores water, a methanol reformer 10 which generates hydrogen fuel from the methanol and water, a solenoid valve 4a installed to the passage 3a connecting the tank 1 to the reformer 10, a solid macromolecular fuel cell stack 20 which generates electric power based on the hydrogen fuel supplied from the device 10, a solenoid valve 4b installed to the passage 3b connecting the device 10 to the stack 20, an electronic control unit 30 which controls each section of the system, etc. The control unit 30 closes the passages 3a and 3b by forcibly closing the solenoid valves 4a and 4b based on a detect signal from an impact sensor 40 when a car crash. |
