<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant-monitoring method for monitoring the checking spot of a boiler plant by automatically shifting a photographing position, when a maintenance staff is present at the checking spot at monitoring of the boiler plant by a television camera. SOLUTION: A checking spot (for example, a burner) is photographed from a prescribed position by a television camera mounted on a monitor robot traveling for patrol on a rail, and a difference image between the photographed monitor image and the preliminarily photographed reference picture of the checking spot in a normal time is prepared, and the difference image is binarized so that the area of the difference part can be calculated, and when the area is larger than a prescribed value, it is judged that a maintenance staff (obstacle) is present, and the checking post is photographed by moving the monitor robot, and changing the angle of the camera. Then, this process is repeated, until it is judged that no obstacle is absent.</p> |
