PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive dissolution timer of simple principle with reduced materials and parts used, compared with a conventional timer, which is not precise in a measured time but usuful when an inexpensive and disposable timer is required instead of an expensive timer precise in the measured time. SOLUTION: A dissolving plug 1 is prepared by filling a water-soluble material 3 into a tube followed by drying to be solidified, and is attached to a cap of a container 5 filled with water. The container 5 is inverted when used. A dissolving valve is prepared by crashing a hose in the container 5 to close the container 5, and filling the water-soluble material therein to be followed by drying to be solidified and fixed. A a soluble tablet is prepared by pouring the water-soluble material along a rotating tablet shaft in a door-closing position to be dried, solidified and fixed. Each of the plug 1, the valve and the tablet is used as the dissolution timer by adding water to the dried and solidified soluble material to be dissolved gradually and slowly and by utilizing a time required therefore.
