PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing film being used also for a cover for solar cells that is light and thin, has improved mechanical strength, has an improved resistance to transmission of moisture and improved insulation and fire resistance, has an improved handling property, when assembling the solar cells, and can manufacturing high-quality solar cells with an improved yield, and to provide the solar cells using the sealing film. SOLUTION: In a sealing film 1 that is also used for a cover for solar cells, a transparent resin film 2 and a glass nonwoven cloth 3 are laminated via ethylene-acetic acid vinyl copolymer system adhesive resin layer 4, are melted and integrated at a temperature lower than the crosslinking temperature of the ethylene-acetic avid vinyl copolymer. In the solar cell, a cell 14 for the solar cell is sealed between the sealing film 1 and a reverse-side protection member 12.
