PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide roller manufacturing method in a magnetic tape cassette whose after processing after molding is simple and which can be constructed at a low cost. SOLUTION: This guide roller 36 which is subjected to bearing in the neighborhood of a part where a magnetic tape comes out and goes in of the magnetic tape cassette and guides the feeding out and rewinding of the magnetic tape, is a resin compact and the center of its cylindrical part is swelled to be drum- shaped. The drum-shape is molded by making the parting line PL of injection molding metallic molds 60 and 62 the center being the largest diameter part of the roller 36 and subsequently, mold flashes 36' projecting to the line PL are eliminated.
