PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an effect of the infrared remote control. SOLUTION: Disclosed herein is a fluorescent lamp device for direct attachment to a ceiling, which device includes a body 2. The body 2 to be attached to a ceiling 1 has an upwardly protruded portion 3 at its upper face. The protrusion 3 is formed at a relatively inwardly recessed portion of the upper face as compared to its peripheral edge. On the lower face of the protrusion 3, there are provided a lighting device such as a high frequency inverter, and a light- receiving portion, which receives infrared remote signals (not shown) and faces a window opening 5 formed on the side of the protrusion 3. The lower face of the protrusion 3 is covered with a reflecting plate 7 whose lower surface is mounted with a fluorescent lamp 8. Also, a glove 9 is attached to the lower face to enclose the fluorescent lamp 8. Further, a printed substrate mounted with parts constituting the lighting device 4 is interposed between the protrusion 3 and the reflecting plate 7, and the light-receiving portion is mounted on the upper surface of the printed substrate 10. |
