PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a circuit for detection so as to be small and to prevent the alteration of a detecting device in the case of detecting data transmitted with information such as copy inhibition attached to image and sound data. SOLUTION: A demodulating means, an error correcting means and a means which reproduces superimposed information on consent to a copy also operate as a temporarily storing means used in the processing to accomplish the above target. Furthermore, the above target is accomplished in such a manner that each of the means is integrated into a single semiconductor device.
