PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high frequency heater of stable heating performance even with a radiation antenna. SOLUTION: In this high frequency heater, microwave generated by a magnetron 2 is supplied to a heating chamber 1 via a magnetron antenna 21 and a waveguide 3. The micro wave is diffused by rotation of the radiation antenna 5 and supplied to the heating chamber 1. The waveguide 3 consists of a rectangular moiety 31 and a truncated conical moiety 32. The center of the height of the waveguide 3 is higher than the rotation center of the radiant antenna 5. Owing to this configuration, the microwave generated by a magnetron 2 is likely to be supplied more easily to a higher position of the rotation center of the radiant antenna 5.
