PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the floating characteristics and running characteristics of a floating head executing recording/reproducing by reducing the sizes of grains and to enhance the durability by suppressing corrosion of laminated films. SOLUTION: A base layer 3 is formed on a disk substrate 2 by a sputtering method. The film of AlTiN is formed on the base layer 3 by the sputtering method utilizing a mixed gas formed by adding N2 gas to Ar gas to form a heat diffusion layer 4. The partial pressure of the N2 gas in the mixed gas used for the sputtering method is specified to be 0.5-10%, preferably 1-9%. A first dielectric material layer 5, a magneto-optical recording reproducing layer 6 and a second dielectric material layer 7 are successively laminated on the heat diffusion layer 4 to form a magneto-optical disk 1. |
