PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of installations of constant current sources and, at the same time, to prevent an unevenness of the luminance of display segments in an EL display device using multi-color light emitting EL display elements. SOLUTION: The emission luminance of display segments Sg2, Sg4 is uniformized by connecting the anodes of the segments whose anode areas are the same and whose emission colors are equal with each other in parallel or in series and by supplying a constant current to them with a single constant current source En3. Emission driving is performed with constant currents from individual constant current sources En1, En2 with respect to display segments Sg1, Sg3 whose anode areas and emission colors are different. |
