PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human body detection device where erroneous detection and misdetection can be reduced, and to provide a human body detection method and a computer readable recording medium recording a program making a computer execute the method. SOLUTION: A human body detection device 1 detecting that a human body exists in a prescribed area has a heat source detection part 2 detecting a temperature change in the area, a picture input part 4 which has a picture sensor such as an artificial retina sensor 3, image-picks up a picture in the area and generates picture information and a human body estimation part 5 estimating that the human body exists based on the detection result of the heat source detection part 2 and picture information that the picture input part 4 generates.
