PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the exertion of thermal damage on the respective parts of a microscope when a specimen temperature management device for the microscope is used in a high temperature state. SOLUTION: The protector 21 for the specimen temperature management device using an exothermic plate 2 by superposing the same on the test body temperature management device 1 of a heating type held by a frame 3 is constituted by holding two transparent shielding plates 26 by means of the fame 25 apart a spacing held in a thickness direction, providing the frame 25 with an air blow-off pipe 29 for blowing air to this space 27 and an air exit 30 and connecting a hose 24 extending from an air pump 23 to the air blow-off pipe 29. Then, the radiation heat heading toward the objective lens L from the exothermic plate 2 is splashed laterally by the air when the heat enters the space 27 and therefore the overheating of the objective lens L, etc., may be surely prevented. Since the shielding plates 26 are transparent, any hindrance does not occur at all in the observation of the specimen (a).
