PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image heating device and an image forming device capable of preventing a pressurizing rotary body from being soiled, and also, capable of preventing a defective image caused by the soil of the pressurizing rotary body. SOLUTION: As for the image heating device provided with a heating rotary body 12 which is heated by a heating means 17 and the pressurizing rotary body 13 which comes into press contact with the rotary body 12 so as to form a nip A, and for holding and carrying a recording material K with an image T carried by the nip A and processing the image T by heating, the peripheral length Df of the rotary body 12 is made longer than the peripheral length Dr of the rotary body13. After the rotation of the rotary body 12 is activated, the rotary body 12 heating operation is started, and also, the heating operation is started before the rotary body 12 is rotated by the amount of a peripheral length differenceΔD between the rotary body 12 and the rotary body 13.
