PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car brake device, capable of stopping a car more rapidly and more surely, from the time braking is applied. SOLUTION: When a brake pedal is tramped down to apply brake, a braking current Ib, that is proportional to the pressure on the brake pedal, is supplied to an electric motor 10, when a car speed is higher than a preset speed. Subsequently, when the car decelerates and comes slower than a preset speed, rotational angle is calculated, from the time when the rotation position of a wheel is read until when the wheel reaches its target stop position, based on the output of a wheel rotational position sensor 15, that detects the rotational position of the wheel. Then, the braking current Ib, corresponding to the calculated rotational angle, is supplied to the motor 10.
