PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording method capable of recording with uniform signal properties over the whole surface of an optical disk medium by using an easy method of rotationally driving the phase transition type optical disk medium by the CAV system while keeping the compatibility with the recording formats of conventional media used exclusively for reproduction. SOLUTION: By updating, at a prescribed interval, the set values of at least more than two among the set values of a top heating pulse duty ratio Ttop obtained by changing the front edge of the top heating pule in a recording pulse train, a final cooling pulse duty ratio Tecp obtained by changing the rear edge of the final cooling pulse in the recording pulse train and an erase power ratio E of the erase power Pe to the heating power Pw, recording with uniform properties over the whole surface of the phase transition type optical disk is attained even though the recording linear velocity is changed by the CAV control for making the number of revolution of the disk constant.
