The filling device has at least one endless conveyor chain (19), supporting cell rows for reception of the bottles, with their longitudinal axes (L) transverse to the feed direction, displaced through a bottle feed station, a filling station, a cap fitting station and a bottle removal station. At least one of these stations has a measuring cog (49) engaging the conveyor chain and coupled to a switch cam (60) of an electric initiator (62) for incremental control of the servomotor driving the chain conveyor.
