A small bath (4) holds a small quantity of limestone descaling liquid around a water outlet eg. spout (2) nozzle (3), during the descaling operation. The bath is held in position by an articulated (7) linkage (6) having a spring clip (8) push-fitted to the spout. The clip and linkage are capable of supporting the bath and its contents in two or more alternative positions. The spring clip supports an articulated support (6) with shanks (10,11,12) and joints (15) or hinges to adjust the presentation of the de-scaling bath (4) close to the tap outlet (3). Each joint is internally friction-locked in position as required by facing arrays of interlocking teeth. Following adjustment of the joints to correct presentation of the bath, the joints are locked in position by eg. wing nuts. One of the joints may be a ball and socket joint. The articulated arm is adjustable in two planes. Also claimed is a replaceable de-scaling bath with an articulated attachment point (13) and capable of receiving the water tap nozzle from two directions. The bath may be a flexible bag with a flexible rim with choke noose around the nozzle.
