The invention relates to a cloth (12) which is used in households and offices. According to prior art, said cloth consists of a needle punched nonwoven (14) or another solid, flexible and absorbent material. During the wet season, said cloths are placed upon the floor of a room or a doormat and serve for wiping the shoe soles, whereby said cloths slip. The aim of the invention is to prevent slipping. According to the invention, the nonwoven (14) is coated with an adhesive (16) on one side or can be coated with adhesives (16 or 20) on both sides. Protective foils (18 or 22) can rest on said adhesives.
