The locking arrangement has a rotary latch (12) divided into a first part (14) containing the swivel bearing (16) and a pawl-like second component (18) lying in the path of closing movement of the lock bar (5). The second part is attached to the first part to swivel against spring force (20) only in the closing direction of the lock bar. The second latch part is loaded by spring force with its free end towards a stop (23) on a lock housing (10) on which it is supported apart from during a closing phase.
