The regulator unit (60) has a piezoelectric actor and a path valve (75) controlled by the actor, with valve bore (76) and sliding valve member (74). A hydraulic converter (62) is positioned between actor and valve member, to deflect the actor movement into the opposite direction. The path valve is a 3/2 path valve, and has a valve member, which alternately blocks or frees two control sections (97,99). The converter has different-sized pistons (62,64). The first piston is cup-shaped and internally guides the second piston. A closing spring (72) is fitted between the pistons.
