AUTOMATIC DOOR ASSEMBLY WITH AN ON-BOARD DISPLAY DEVICE

The present application discloses, among other things, an automatic door assembly for installation on a wall having an opening formed therethrough. The door assembly comprises a frame assembly that defines a doorway through which persons can travel. The automatic door further comprises one or more panels comprising a door panel mounted to the frame assembly for movement between an open position and a closed position. A power-operated door operator operatively connects to the door panel to move the door panel between the open and closed positions thereof. An on-board electrically powered display device is fixedly mounted on one of the one or more panels and is adapted to become energized when electricity is supplied thereto such that the energized display device displays information that can be viewed by a person approaching the doorway.
