By monitoring more parameters of wind energy plants, it is possible to improve the maintenance, safety and economic efficiency of said plants. The aim of the invention is therefore to improve the monitoring of wind energy plants. To this end, a method for monitoring wind energy plants acoustically is provided. This method comprises the following steps: recording a reference noise spectrum of a wind power plant and/or parts thereof at at least one particular location on the plant; storing this reference spectrum in a storage device; recording operating noise spectrum during operation at said particular location(s) on the plant; comparing the recorded operating spectrum with the stored reference spectrum; and determining deviations between the operating noise spectrum and the reference spectrum. |
