In a candle with a base of paraffin or similar material and a wick, the base material is mixed with a burning promoter. Independent claims are included for: (1) a useful composition containing metallocene, especially ferrocene, in a medium, especially for introducing metallocene into a third composition, in which the medium is paraffin and the metallocene is taken up in this from a solution in the paraffin; and (2) the production of a composition containing metallocene, especially ferrocene, by adding the metallocene to a medium, in which the metallocene is dissolved in hot, liquid paraffin, followed by rapid cooling.
