Processing components comprises arranging a first processing table (2) in a first charging position and a second processing position (3) within the working region of a processing device (1); positioning and fixing a component on the processing table; adjusting the first processing table into the processing position and the second processing table into the charging position; processing the component in the processing device; removing the component from the first processing table; during the previous two steps, arranging and fixing a component to the second processing table; and carrying out the third to the sixth steps alternately for the two processing tables. An Independent claim is also included for an apparatus for carrying out the process.
