The plow with variable breadth of working has a frame in two sections (40, 41) which can be swivelled together on an axle (42) which is at right angles to the direction of working of the plow. The distance between the last plowshare (10') on the front section of the frame and the first plowshare (15') on the second section of the frame is at least 1.5 times the distance between any other two plowshares, which is the same across the rest of both frames. The distance between the last plowshare (10') on the front section of the frame and the first plowshare (15') on the second section of the frame is also the same as the distances (17, 18, 19) between the axes of the swivelling console.
