The adapter has device connectors (110,160) for interface connection of the interface conductors (10) of a peripheral device with a computer. An electrical connector (145) which connects selective interface contacts (40) of the peripheral device with interface conductors, indicating the use of data interfaces (185) which connects the peripheral device with computer, by e.g. delivering a preset constant voltage. An Independent claim is also included for connection method of a computer peripheral device with a computer.
