A novel roof sheet for a trailer is formed from a thin sheet of laminate. The laminate is formed by providing a woven mat formed from rovings of commingled fiberglass and thermoplastic resin, preferably polypropylene; commingling the fiberglass and thermoplastic resin by heat and compression to form a thin sheet ot laminate by heating and compressing said woven mat; and cutting the thin sheet of laminate into a size which is suitable for attachment to a frame of a trailer. A film, preferably polyester, capable of blocking ultraviolet light can be bonded to the thin sheet of laminate.
