PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam trap capable of preventing erosion of an outlet passage. SOLUTION: The casing of the steam trap is formed by fastening a lid member 5 to a body 4 having an inlet 1, an outlet 2 and an outlet passage 3, the casing having a valve chest 6 therein. The inlet 1 and the outlet 2 open to the top of the body 4, with the inlet 4 communicating with the top of the valve chest 6 and the outlet 2 communicating with the top of the outlet passage 3. A valve seat member 10 having a valve port 8 open to a side end of the valve chest 6 and a branch port 9 open to a side end of the outlet passage 3 is provided in the lower portion of the outlet passage 3 to communicate the valve chest 6 with the outlet passage 3. A condensate reservoir portion 14 is joined with the underside of the outlet passage 6 and the branch port 9 in the valve seat member 10 opens to the condensate reservoir portion 14. The energy of condensate discharged from the branch port 9 into the condensate reservoir portion 14 is attenuated on colliding with the condensate in the condensate reservoir portion 14, so the erosion of the outlet passage 3 can be prevented.
