PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability of a toroidal type continuously variable transmission and torque transmitting capacity by equalizing shaft directional thrust applied to two toroidal shift parts while preventing an increase of a shaft directional dimension by integrally formed two sets of output disks. SOLUTION: A toroidal type continuously variable transmission is provided with a pair of input disks 21 respectively arranged in both end parts of a CVT shaft 1b and displaceable in the shaft direction, an output disk 22 for respectively sandwiching a power roller 20 by integrally forming a cavity respectively opposed to these input disks 21 and transmitting torque by having an output gear 24 on the outer periphery, a loading cam device 23 for imparting shaft direction thrust according to input torque to the input disks and positioning members 60, 60 for regulating shaft directional displacement of the output disk 22.
