The missile guidance method uses an intersection point between the missile and the target, e.g. a ballistic missile, calculated from the known target path, for calculating the required missile flight path and the missile velocity characteristic for ensuring that the missile and the target reach the intersection point simultaneously, with corresponding control of the transverse and longitudinal acceleration of the missile. The strike point and the strike intersection time point can be updated during the missile flight.
