A cover arrangement for the covering of an inflatable passenger protection device has: - a covering with an inner surface that is aligned with respect to the inflatable passenger protection device and has an outer surface that can be pressed manually; - an electric switch which is operable by manual pressure on the outer surface; and - a support plate for the support of the electric switch near to the inner surface. The support plate has a number of openings which extend through the support plate. The covering comprises a rib which extends from the inner surface around at least a part of the periphery of the electric switch. The covering further comprises a number of pegs which extend from the inner surface through the number of openings. One of each of the number of pegs has a part which is connected with the rib so as to hold the support plate on the covering.
