One finger of the playing hand of the musician is provided with a rod-shaped extension (1, 2, 6, 10) which is supported against a stop component fixed on the instrument body. Fixture on the plucking hand is by means of a ring-shaped tubular socket (10) with a tube clamp adhered to the rod (1) and clamping it. The rod for adjustment is stagelessly held in the tube clamp, and has a ball-shaped end piece as cap (6) formed from soft, thrust-damping material, such as felt or rubber-type material. Over the strings of the instrument extends a bridge comprising a base plate and a bridge part, the bridge part being variably placed in relation to the base plate.
