Method and apparatus for creating an individualized decoration on the surface of a three-dimensional object (c). The decoration is stored in electric form. The decoration is exposed and developed directly onto the surface of the object. According to the individualization process of the present invention, the decoration is formed on the surface of a three-dimensional object of complex shape without the use of solid intermediate materials or mechanical operations.
