The process separator (10) has a metal body (20) with a central passage bore (21) and containing a ceramic conductor (30). Preferably, the ceramic conductor has an annular groove between a cylindrical part and a conical part. The conical part tapers away from the cylindrical part and projects over it at its base. The inner wall of the passage bore of the metal body may have an annular groove facing the ceramic conductor. An Independent claim is included for a method for inserting the ceramic conductor into the metal body and for manufacturing the process separator.
