The convertible automobile has a roof stowage box next to the trunk, with a divider (7) between them which can be moved up to increase the luggage stowage space or down to increase the roof stowage. The divider (7) has a U-shaped cross section, with the side walls formed by the legs (8) which are rigid and are rigidly bonded to each other. In each position of the divider (7), the walls formed by the legs (8) wholly separate the trunk (2) from the roof stowage box (1) in a side direction. The divider (7) also has a flexible divider(10) at the upper section between it and a lateral carrier (6), formed by a flexible film or tarpaulin wound around a roller (11). The divider (7) is moved by an electromotor.
