The invention concerns a method for treating a skin comprising a step (4) which consists in depositing at least a layer of finishing product containing pigments and/or dyes, on one surface at least of said skin (1), over the whole or part of said at least one surface; it consists in depositing said finishing product on one surface at least of said skin when the latter is in wet state. The invention also concerns the resulting skin.
