The road vehicle suspension unit has a driven stub axle (14) which is engaged in a bearing (5) carried by the arm of the suspension (6) and maintained in position by the screw (7). The centre of the stub axle is cut to take the screw a washer preventing rotation of the stud axle with respect to the suspension. The wheel hub (1) and the brake disc (1) are fixed to the suspension unit by the roller (3) which is squeezed between a shoulder at the end of the stub axle (8) and the bearing (5).
