PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a probe-type singlet oxygen generator capable of generating the singlet oxygen just before its use and immediately using the singlet oxygen effectively. SOLUTION: This singlet oxygen generator comprises a probe mainframe 1, a probe point 6, a oxygen resource and a light source 16 wherein the probe mainframe 1 comprises a stainless pipe 3 having a male screw 2 on the tip outer circumference, optical fiber 4 bundled and filled in the pipe and a oxygen feed pipe 5 at center of the fiber bundle, the probe point 6 comprises a short stainless pipe 8 having a female screw 7 at the pipe end inner circumference and threadedly connected with the male screw 2 of the probe mainframe 1, the optical fiber 4 and the oxygen feed pipe 5 in the stainless pipe and a polymer resin pipe 9 or a high transmittance glass-based pipe supporting a photosensitizer and spaced from the oxygen feed pipe 5 a little also in the stainless pipe, the probe 6 exposes a point-hemispherical head of the pipe, the oxygen resource is connected with the end of the probe mainframe 1 and feeds oxygen to the oxygen feed pipe 5 through a flowmeter 13 and a pressure regulator 14 and the light source 16 emits radiation light permeating the optical fiber 4.
