PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer sheet for scratching capable of easily rubbing off a concealing part by a pawl, a coin or the like by incorporating sufficient concealability so as not to easily identify information recorded on a card or the like as it is. SOLUTION: The thermal transfer sheet 1 comprises a non-transferable mat layer 3 provided at least on an overall surface or in a pattern state and a heat fusible ink layer 4 containing an aluminum pigment, a carbon black, a wax, an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin as main constituents and sequentially provided on one side surface of a film base material 2. Thus, a concealing layer of the layer 4 is transferred on information recorded on a card or the like so that the front surface of the transferred concealing layer is mat-like rugged which cannot read the recorded information due to protrusions. The above components are contained in the layer 4 to allow the concealing layer to be easily rubbed off by a suitable cohesive force and a pawl, a coin or the like.
