PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the speed of monochromatic printing. SOLUTION: Monochromatic (e.g.; black) toner is set to printing units 6Y, 6M, 6C, 6K and a monochromatic raster data corresponding to one printing paper is divided in a CU part 21. The divided raster data are respectively transmitted to the corresponding printing units 6Y, 6M, 6C, 6K by the CU part 21 and a PU part 23. The transfer operation of the printing units 6Y, 6M, 6C, 6K is controlled by the PU part 23 so that the images of the divided raster data are transferred to the printing paper at the corresponding positions thereon by the corresponding printing units.
