PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding method which prevents the defective appearance of the surface of a resin molding obtained by solidification-extrusion molding, and an apparatus for the method. SOLUTION: In a method for extrusion-molding a thermoplastic resin, when the resin is extrusion-molded by using a molding machine in which an extruder, a die having a molten resin passage, and a coolable sizing former are connected with each other, the cross-sectional area of the resin passage at a position where the resin begins to be melted is smaller than the cross-sectional area of a molding. An apparatus for the method is also provided.
