CHARGING TYPE VACUUM CLEANER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To turn on a main body switch and to prevent the failure in charging without using intricate circuit constitution when charging a cleaner body by setting this body at a charging stand. SOLUTION: This vacuum cleaner has the cleaner body 1 which is provided with an electric terminal part 9 for charging to a built-in battery 7 and the charging body 6 which is provided with a charging terminal part 10 to be electrically connected to the electric terminal part 9 when the cleaner body 1 is placed thereon. The cleaner body 1 is constituted by freely tiltably mounting a handle part 1 to a suction body 14 and has a switch which turns on the drive of a motor-driven fan 4 when the handle part 1 is tilted and turns off when the handle 1 is put to an erected state. The under surface of the suction body 14 is provided with an aperture 40 facing the charging terminal 10 and the lower side of the handle part 1 is provided with the electric terminal part 9 such that the direction of the terminal part 9 viewed from the aperture 40 is changed by tilting and the charging terminal part 10 of the charging stand 6 and the electric terminal part 9 are electrically connected via the aperture 40 when the handle 1 is put to an erected state.
