PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pen type wiper which is capable of clearly removing the dirt of articles and cleaning even the articles having narrow parts and a core material for the same. SOLUTION: The pen type wiper 20 has a fiber bundle 3 which is the core material 3, a shaft cylinder 1 which houses the same and an extension mechanism which extends the fiber bundle 3 from the shaft cylinder 1. The fiber bundle 3 is extended from the shaft cylinder 1 by knocking a cap 12. If a user wipes the contaminated point while pressing the tip end of the extended fiber bundle 3 thereto, the dirt may be removed. Since the fiber bundle formed by molding fibers to weaken the degree of thermal fusion between the fibers is used as the fiber bundle 3, the front ends of the fiber bundle 3 loosen and therefore the fibers intrude into the narrow parts as well and the dirt in the narrow part may be cleanly removed.
