PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-lead writing instrument which can be easily assembled and is prevented from failing when unlocking a slide coupled to a tip writing element by forward moving another slide. SOLUTION: When a writing element is projected, a slide 5 is pressed to release an engaging protrusion 23 from a recess 23. The rear end of the slide 5 is locked to a locking part provided in a barrel 2 to maintain the projecting state of the element. Then, another slide is forward moved to press the rear part of the tip element locked by the protrusion. The locked element is unlocked to retract the element in the barrel. The protrusion is released from the recess by forward moving the another slide, and the other writing element is projected. L1>L2 is satisfied in this structure, wherein L1 is the engaging margin of the protrusion with the recess, and L2 is the moving distance of the protrusion 27 of the slide to the unlocking. |
