<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for effectively utilizing chromium oxide- containing waste material and further, reusing the obtained slag as a harmless material. SOLUTION: When a smelting reduction of metallic oxide is executed by charging the metallic oxide and carbonaceous material into molten iron in a converter type reaction vessel, supplying the oxidizing gas from a top-blown lance and a bottom-blown tuyere and blowing while executing powerful stirring for raising temperature and melting, the chromium oxide-containing waste material is charged into the molten iron.</p> |
