<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decompose organic waste at low costs while controlling the generation of offensive odors. SOLUTION: In an apparatus having an aeration tank 10 which houses a liquid containing aerobic microorganisms, agitates organic waste charged into the liquid, and can maintain the liquid in an aerobic state, a prescribed number of decomposition accelerating tanks 20, 30, 40 which house supernatant sent from the aeration tank 10 or from a tank in a preceding stage, accelerate the decomposition of organic substances in the waste by the microorganisms, and send the supernatant with the content of the organic substances reduced to a tank in a succeeding stage and a liquid returning means 60 which returns the liquid in the final decomposition accelerating tank 40 to the aeration tank 10, the organic substances in the waste can be decomposed while being circulated between the tank 10 and the tanks 20, 30, 40.</p> |
