PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a string-like article packaging container in which a stored string-like article is moved inside the container and shifted to one side. SOLUTION: A container body having a flange and provided with an upwardly projecting peripheral edge wall on an inner peripheral edge of the flange is connected to a lid body having a flange and provided with an upwardly swollen portion with its opening part of the same shape as the peripheral edge wall in an opening/closing manner via a hinge part to form a rectangular container. An area surrounded by the peripheral edge wall of the container body is demarcated by an inner partition to form two storage parts, an upwardly projecting holding part having a recessed part is formed on a bottom surface of one storage part, and a downwardly directed pressing part is formed on the upper surface of the swollen part of the lid body facing the holding part of the container body.
